This is all getting a bit too much for me to handle. Marvel are winning at everything right now.
Marvel Studios basically broke the internet at a press event when they unveiled the roster for its Phase Three films of comic-cinematic adaptations spanning five years!

Not only will we be seeing sequels to Marvel heroes already on the big screen – like Captain America, Thor and Guardians of the Galaxy, we will see new characters get their time, including the long awaited Black Panther.
With Ant-Man finishing Phase Two in July 2015, we now have the confirmed list of films to follow – and I for one are pretty damn excited.
- May 6th 2016: Captain America: Civil War
- November 4th 2016: Doctor Strange
- May 5th 2017: Guardians Of The Galaxy 2
- July 28th 2017: Thor: Ragnarok
- November 3rd 2017: Black Panther
- May 4th 2018: Avengers: Infinity War Part I
- July 6th 2018: Captain Marvel
- November 2nd 2018: Inhumans
- May 3rd 2019: Avengers: Infinity War Part II
My geeky-bubble was a little burst to see no Black Widow or Hulk movies, as Marvel confirmed they currently have no plans for solo films for either. HOWEVER the studio’s president Kevin Feige promised that they would play key roles going forward, so there’s no doubt that we might be seeing them again in the newly announced two-part Avengers films in 2018 and 2019. (SWEET THANOS!)
Speaking of The Avengers, Marvel has released another sneak peek of the upcoming The Avengers: Age of Ultron featuring a new clip which takes place at Avengers Tower followed by a very rude interruption... check out the extended trailer below:
And THANK ODIN that wasn’t all. At the Marvel Event, they showcased the first glimpse of the Avengers: Infinity War trailer, and it’s made me - and fans everywhere - go a bit crazy.
With a new line-up of heroes to hit the big screen over the next few years, there’s still heaps of speculation into who will be taking on these roles. Although Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange is still unconfirmed, Marvel has given us fans our first confirmed casting of this next stage, and it will be Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther.
We do not yet know who will write or direct the film, but Boseman’s Black Panther is set to turn up in Captain America: Civil War. Feige has stated that his character will play a "big part" in the movie, adding that "We will meet him for the first time in Civil War, in costume."
Feige’s comments suggest that there’s every chance we could be seeing the Black Panther OUT of costume in upcoming films, as the recent The Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer contains an easter egg that could link to Boseman’s character.
One can’t help but wonder if Vibranium – the material used for Captain America’s shield, found in the Black Panther’s homeland Wakanda - may also have something to do with it, especially as we see Cap’s broken shield in the trailer.
It looks like Marvel Studios will have me hooked for the next few years! Let me know which of the new films you're most excited to see in the comments below.
