Borderlands Pre-Sequel expansion lets you be ''Handsome Jack''

Well, that didn’t take long. The first DLC pack for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is now live on Steam and in the Mac App Store for OS X gamers. And this one’s going to please fans of Handsome Jack.

Dubbed the Handsome Jack Doppelganger Pack (or Handsome Jack Pack), this $10 expansion will let players take on the role of Handsome Jack himself…or his body double, at least.

[Editorial aside - Have we given up on the proper definition of "doppelgänger," by the way? I like it better when it's used to mean an evil twin or ghostly look alike, meant to cause anxiety for the original. Kind of like Bad Ash / Good Ash in Army of Darkness. Now, it pretty much just means “body double.” It makes me sad when great words get dumbed down to more generic meanings.]

Anyway…

As “Handsome Jack,” you’ll be able to summon digital constructs of yourself to fight alongside you on your adventures across Elpis. “Jack” will also take full advantage of his wrist-mounted lasers while utilizing various skills that grant him combat bonuses for picking up money or for using specific manufacturers’ weapons.

Now, if you haven’t played Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, shame on you.

The Handsome Jack Pack is available for $9.99/€8.99/£6.99 from GameAgent, or you can purchase it directly from Steam. Mac App Store users can access the content via the DLC tab in the pre-game launcher. If you’ve already purchased the Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Season Pass, you’re set.
